MORE THAN JUST A HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE

Taking a hot air balloon ride is a truly unique experience. Not only will you float above the Dubai desert at 4,000 feet, but after the flight, the adventure continues with a journey through the desert in classic, museum-quality Land Rovers. A gourmet à la carte breakfast is served in an authentic desert setting at a royal desert retreat. The experience includes transportation to and from all Dubai hotels. All balloon baskets are equipped with GoPros so you can keep a video of your flight as a souvenir.

TAKEOFF

We’ll pick you up from your hotel before sunrise and take you to the desert launch site, less than a 45-minute drive away. Upon arrival, the ground crew will prepare the balloon envelopes and baskets. After a quick safety briefing, you’ll gather around your basket while your pilot begins the exciting process of inflating the balloon. You’ll then climb into the basket and begin floating and rising into the sky in no time.

HOT AIR BALLOON FLIGHT AT DAWN

As you ascend into the sky, the glow on the horizon begins to transform into magnificent shades of yellow and orange. Depending on your direction, you’ll see the sun rise behind the Hajar Mountains over the desert dunes. At 4,000 feet, it’s one of the best places in the world to witness the beauty of sunrise. Look out for Arabian oryx, gazelles, or camels roaming the sand dunes below. Each hot air balloon flight lasts approximately one hour.

FALCON FLIGHT SHOW

A falconer accompanies you on every hot air balloon flight. At the perfect moment, the falcon will be released from the balloon. You’ll be able to admire its speed and agility as it dives below, above, and all around the balloons. This is the only place in the world where you can witness this unique falconry display!

VINTAGE LAND ROVER RIDE

And that’s not all! After your unique experience of the desert from above, prepare to travel across the dunes in vintage Land Rovers to an authentic Heritage ancestral camp nestled within a Royal Desert Retreat. These restored 1950s Land Rovers were among the first motorized vehicles brought to the desert.

GOURMET BREAKFAST

An adventure like a hot air balloon ride is sure to work up an appetite! After landing, head back to the Heritage Camp where you spent the night for a delicious à la carte breakfast. Indulge in a gourmet breakfast featuring smoked salmon, caviar, charcuterie, a fruit platter, and a selection of breads and farm-fresh eggs, including eggs Benedict.

• Transfers are included in the price of the excursion.

• It is advisable to wear loose and comfortable clothing (preferably trousers) as you will need to get in and out of the gondola. Sneakers or flat shoes are ideal.

• Pack a light jacket or sweater during the winter months. A cap or hat is also recommended.

• Reduced price for children between 5 and 10 years old.
