It features 80 domes, approximately 1,000 columns, 24-karat gold-plated chandeliers, and the world’s largest hand-woven carpet. The main prayer hall is dominated by one of the world’s largest chandeliers—10 meters in diameter, 15 meters high, and weighing over 9 tons. The first ceremony held there was the funeral of Sheikh Zayed, who is buried on the site and for whom the mosque is named.
